Subject: Re: [korgpolyex] Re: MIDI-implementation of a poly 800 MkII?

Hi, well, the MIDI implementation for the Poly is
pretty sparse. When you power up, it defaults to Omni
Mode; you need to go to the 80something parameter to
select one receive channel if you wish. The keyboard
sends on Channel 1 and the sequencer sends on Channel
2. Left and right stick correspond to down and up
pitch wheel. Up stick is Controller#1 and down stick
is Controller#2. The keyboard sends Notes#36-84. It
receives the entire note range but anything outside
36-84 is folded back to the top or bottom octave: I.e.
85 will be treated as 73, so will 97; 35 will be
treared as 47, so will 23. I'm trying to remeber
whether the sequencer start and stop buttons send Song
Start and Stop - you see my Poly is dead.

That's about it. I will post the string which commands
the Mark II to dump as soon as I find it.
Patches and sequence are stored and sent as one file.
Hope this helps.
