Hi Atom, Dave and all,
The HAWK-800 software (not yet released) has four LFO's. Two LFO's are the same rate as the existing single LFO in the Poly. The next two are SLFO's.
All LFO's have waveforms triangle, saw, sine, PWM and random. All are invertible.
LFO3 (the first of the SLFO's) can modulate the rate of LFO1.
LFO4 (the first of the SLFO's) can modulate the rate of LFO2.
When modulating VCF or DCO, LFO1 or 2 can be selected to modulate the depth of DCO and then on top of that LFO3 or 4 can be selected to attenuate the depth of LFO1 or 2.
When modulating resonance or FM-800, LFO1 or 2 can be selected to modulate the depth and EG3 can also modulate. And when EG4 becomes available, it will be able to be selected too.
At the moment, LFO2 is the only LFO that can be clocked by MIDI. But I am thinking about ways to make all three clock from MIDI if possible.
As far as velocity sensitivity goes. I would love to do something with this soon but the big challenge is understanding how the EG's are constructed in the software. I've come a long, long way in understanding them but I won't be able to do anything with the velocity until I understand the EG's better.
I'll let you know how things progress.
Mike.

i dunno if anyone here has seen this -

it's rare that anyone gives me fresh ideas about programming synths, but
this guy is hitting it. i haven't yet gone through all of them, but i just
watched the first two, and i'm thinking how i can apply those lessons to
EX-800 after i install the kit... how many LFOs is it gonna have?!?!?
not to mention what some of those ideas can translate into on a k5000...
