Yeah, it's unfortunate because, as an early adopter of the internet,
and one of its few early technologies, usenet, which at the time
seemed to be an obscure corner of interesting social exchange between
mostly academics. I used my real name for almost a decade long
before I knew that somebody was archiving everything and would
eventually sell it to a company called DejaNews who would in turn
eventually sell it to Google, making those archives immediately
accessible to everybody on the planet for eternity. But even so, I
probably should have known better, having already been a 'phone
phreaker' as a teen in the 80s...
Now, can somebody please say something about the Poly 800 to get back
on topic????
