Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt apologies for miss-stating
your epithet. I had no intention to imply that you are anything less
than the full hardcase, rackmount version. Mea-Culpa.
I am basing my statements on the Poly-800 Service manual posted in
this forum in the 'Poly-800II Service Docs' folder of the files section.
On page 27 in part four of the "Check and Adjustment procedure';
4. Master oscillator check and adjustment:
Check the above section. (I'd clip and paste it, but its an image PDF)
I don't think its a typo because the manual states that the C3 (start
key) should read -1 OCT C on a KORG AT-12 tuner.
It says that the upper pitch bend should read -1 OCT G (if it was
supposed to be a full octave up it would read "OCT C" (no -1, no G)).
The lower pitch bend setting should show -2 OCT C
I don't have an AT-12 but was able to calibrate to these settings
using a KORG CA-30 Chromatic tuner.
I find i like the full octave dive bomb down, and fifth up is
musically useful.
