A red-faced thank you to Richard for pointing out the obvious...
I unplugged the 106 and, you got it, no sounds. So I tested the battery. Dead. However,
I remembered that I had bought a replacement battery years ago for an S-10 I used to
own. It's a little smaller than the original, but it's a fully juiced, 2 post, 3v
lithium, so I'm a happy camper!
Hokay, ah wone tok na more here about da 106! But as far as relevance goes, it ∗does∗
use the same battery as the 800. I suspect there are a multitude of synths that do.
