Hi Poly fans,

My original intent was to build the hardware kit and write the
software for the EX800 first and then move on to the Poly 800 later.

But, I had a look at the features and the kit and this weekend decided
to fit my prototype into one of the Poly 800's I have and try to get
the keyboard and joystick working.

Well, I succeeded in getting the Poly 800 keyboard working with our
new software. So now, we have all of the new SYSEX code, the new
controllers, the new cascading unit functions, expanded playing range
AND you can run it in your Poly 800 too! I'll work on the joystick
soon. And you will get also get local control settings, transmit
channel settings and you will be able to set the playing range of the
keyboard itself (really useful in live play situations). Oh, and did I
mention that NOTE ON velocity MIDI TX will be programmable (and even
sendable using the joystick)?

It felt pretty good when I got the keyboard working. It's been a great
weekend.
