Subject: WTD: Dead Poly800s (UK)

If anyone has a dead Poly800 (any kind), I'm looking for them to
mess around with - defining dead, I would exclude Poly800 EXs
and IIs that need replacement batteries (i.e. they work fine with a
SYSEX dump of the memory), because I want them as cheap as
possible - you can replace the batteries easily, so even if it
appears dead I recommend finding a way to try sending the
matrix bank in the files section just to see if it works. You'll need
to edit Parameter 86 (EX) or 87 (II) to the required MIDI channel.

I want to replace missing screws in mine, have a go at doing all
the mods, and perhaps make a couple of custom-finished
cases. I've got a freepost address they can be sent to if you're
otherwise going to throw it out (UK only, obviously), or email me
with details.

Of course, if you can't be bothered replacing the battery, I'm more
than happy to take them off your hands with dead batteries!
