It's so easy enough , so even me can answer.
- Read on the display glass, above the switches and sliders and
7-segment-LEDs: If there's only KORG POLY-800, it's a mk1. mk2 is
"POLY-800II"
- if you have an EQ parameter, it' a mk 2, if you have only chorus. it's mk1
- compare it to these pics (white sliders vs. dark ones)
- it should be noted on the bottom side in the serial number area
