Subject: midi omni mode stuck on

as i'm running out of midi ports in my rig i've just noticed that my
poly-800 doesn't want to exit OMNI mode... it's supposed to exit omni
mode by selecting the rcv midi channel but that's not the case here -
it just keeps responding on all the channels... anyone dealt with this
yet?
