I had a similiar problem. I was given a EX800 but all the buttons were so
dirty and stuck they
did not function. I had a tech do several things......he added two buttons
on back panel and moved the tune and sequence speed function to them. He
then turned the tune button into the filter cutoff and the sequencer button
into the Q. He also modified the filter to be very active (He said it was
similiar to Slayer mod but his was better).
He then removed all the old buttons and replaced them with smaller push
buttons that come directly up from the circuit board. I can't recall what he
called the buttons....but they are smaller and a bit touchy, but they work
very well. I can post pictures if you would like to see his handy work.
