the digital setting adjusts both the top and bottom of what the knob does.
you can set the knob in the middle, and still let the patch determine
about where it's set, but you will lose some of the convenience of the
presets.

if this is a concern, i'd say wire up the mod, but include a switch, so
the cutoff knob can be taken out of the picture, if desired.

(i think it can be made to work with a DPDT switch)


for the res knob, just turn the knob all the way up, and the digital
setting will work like always (only have a smaller usable range, unless
yer looking to break stuff).

instead of having a 'normal' range of 0-15, you might have 0-12.
of course, if the knob is set to (about) 3:00, you should get the full
0-15 out of it.
