After reading the notes on the slayer, I have a query about function. If I
understand it right, the digital settings for cutoff would now only control
range of cutoff - ie., how far down or up it will tweak. So... how do you
set your default cutoff for each patch?? From what I can gather, you'd have
to tweak the knob to how you want it to sound each time you change patch?
If you don't follow: With the current mod, I set my cutoff knob to the
middle, and adjust the digital cutoff to where the sound is right for default
playing - this gives a default sound, with the ability to tweak (but only to
a set degree) above and below the cutoff frequency. But with the slayer,
from what I understand of it, the digital settings now give you control over
range - ie. how extreme your cutoff tweaks can be. So does that mean the
"middle" knob setting results in the same initial cutoff frequency for each
patch, no matter what the digital is set to??
Seems to me that it gives more freedom in the level of tweaking you can do,
but you sacrifice the ability to save what your patches will sound like by
default?
Any way of getting around this?
