Subject: How to save the patchs of the poly800II on a PC

Some times ago i've sent a message about this method, I send it
again, I'm sure it can be usefull.
To save the patchs of the poly800II on a PC you need Alesis
freeloader, datadumpreqst.syx, and a sysex file that is NOT intended
for the Poly800II (a sysex for DX7 works fine)

Download and launch Alesis Freeloader 1.0
With the help of the windows on the left and right :
- select and ADD in the top windows the sysex file that is NOT
intended for the Poly800II
- Then select and ADD the datadumpreqst.syx
- click on "sysex" in the rolling menu. A new window appears.
- click on ">"
- click on "wait for sysex"
A few seconds after, you get a message "receiving midi" and 5383
bytes.
That's all.

I have uploaded datadumpreqst.syx. You can access this file at the
URL: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/korgpolyex/files/datadumpreqst.syx

The other sysex file (the one that is NOT intended for the Poly800II)
is used to add time delay for click on "wait for sysex" after the
click on ">". Without it, only 300 ms are available, and if not
impossible, it is quite hard and needs some training.

To send a sysex from PC to the Poly800II, or play a midi file. Simply
ADD the file you want to send and click on ">".

The datadumpreqst.syx file contains the chain F0 42 21 0C 10 F7,
provided in the manual of the synthesizer.

I Hope this will help
