I just unboxed my new Poly800II to find that the tuning slider, one of
the keys, and three directions of the joystick are all non-functioning
(down is the only joystick direction that seems to have any impact).
There is also a key that seems to have a problem with its contact, and
kind of scratches when i play it.
I have already contacted the guy who sold it to me and he says he'll
make it right, because it was working before he sent it. So that
part's cool.
My questions are mainly in second-guessing myself, and i wanted some
verification of the severity (or possibly even existence) of the
problems. The joystick bend (side-to-side) should be very pronounced
in ALL modes of operation, right? Moving it up should have an effect
in ALL modes, too, right? Adjustment of the tuning slider should be
very noticable, once again, in ALL modes of operation, right? And as
for the two keys with problems (one not working and one scratchy
sounding), is there a cleaning that needs to be done with these normally?
I've twiddled with a bunch of parameters to try to get the joystick up
and side directions to work to no avail, and i've played with the
tuning slider and can hear NOTHING CHANGING when i move it.
