I actually just did this a few months ago to mine, it is fairly easy, but a bit time consuming.

the type of spraypaint doesnt really matter, but unless you want a cracking, snakeskin type look, dont go with marking paint (the kind used for construction and shit).  other than that, its all fair game.

all you really have to do is take it apart completely.  what i did was i took the bottom panel off first, and dew out a little diagram showinig which circuit boards go where, and the screws that are used to connect them, then put the screws onto the diagram.  make sure you take everything off, and the parts you dont want painted, put tape over them.  spray one side, let it dry, repeat.

the top side is trickier, but the same concept.  keep track of all your buttons and shit (the volume knob pops off, but you need a socket wrench to get it to disconnect it from the case).  make sure when you put the actual keyboard back on that you make sure all the pressure pads are fit perfectly in the holes, or else it will be a serious pain in the ass to go back and fix it multiple times (i learned this the hard way).  another problem is that there is a thin metal plate that needs to be removed and glued back on in order to completely disconnect the two sides.  it is very hard to pull off, so be careful that you dont cut your hands open.  it hurts.

allow enough time to dry, and screw it all back on and enjoy your hot sexy new looking poly800.

Hey, I've recently taken my Poly800 onto the stage, but it looks kinda
generic. I was thinking about painting it, keys and all. Any
suggestions as to what kind of spraypaint I should use, and how to
best way to tackle such a project?

-Ollie
