This guy is where I first saw the Moog Slayer mod take place.He had a web page up . Atom Smasher is his nick.Be nice and email him a reasonable question. He seems to know hacking up instruments well.

lose your patches every time you pull the power plug. If there were
patches in there before that sounded 'programed', yet the power cord
was often pulled out, then you probably just reset it all by doing the
mod. I added a battery to mine at the same time as the mod, but before
then had to always keep it plugged in :((
