my first guess was the tuning slider, but that's totally obv.
another thing that can happen though is with the joystick. it
calibrates when you turn the poly on, taking its current position as
being the relative centre. so, in the odd case that the bend slider
is all the way up, and you also bumped the joystick while turning it
on, it could be totally out of tune. this problem is uber-annoying
when the vcf and dco are ill-calibrated, making all of your patches
sound wonka.
