hmmm try using a tape deck an old one is what I use with type one cassettes. The only thing I can think is when I used type two the extra bias had to much sound and it wouldnt load. I use an old radio shack tape portable pkayer from the mid 80s I adjust the volume to 7 and it record and plays the sounds well. The sound blasted may have to much highs and not be passing the data . But you say it doesnt even put out a dsound to save noise so if it wont broadcast im not sure either. I just know I had trouble loading and saving and got a old fashined way the old school way works I havent digitized the shit yet so im not sure on that. I just know I used type one tape and type two wouldnt work, Probally wont help but its what workes for my three polys.....

yeah, since I replaced the battery it holds the sounds in memory just
fine. I can program them in, save them, turn off the keyboard and
remove the power from it (both battery and wall wart) and when I
power back up everything was just as I left it. I said goodbye to
that old dead battery and soldering in a battery holder from an old
motherboard I had and put in a 1.5V lithium and now the memory seems
peachy. Keep the ideas coming!
