Maybe its for the 101 keyboard considering the form factor?
some of them have a different multipin than others? Though
thats just a guess.

Well yeah, if its made by an EML employee, then thats pretty
obvious its a spare time project... who knows there is a grey
area, sometimes side projects when finished get pitched to the
company as a potential product

As for "faked" I didn't meen to fool people but as you probably
know a lot of people who build a synth studio based around a
brand will logically have any custom stuff if possible match their
studio to look visually integrated.

Thanks for the info, I was just curious because it didn't visually
look much like a prototype, though I didn't doubt its very
intentional EML styling

the first EML synth, built on contract for the Connecticut State
college system in 1968 in a quantity of 20. The contract stated
that had to weigh a minimum of 200 pounds so it couldn't be
stolen by college students, so they incorporated a cinder block
inside.
