It has been a VERY long time (1970's) since I worked on a 101, but don't recall why there might be interface problems - not to say that there aren't any. (I was New Jersey EML sales & service back then)
Other than the 1.2 V/oct issue, is it just that the Doepfer is not triggering the 101? I'm pretty sure that could be fixed by adjusting some resistor values in the 101.
