Subject: .....hello! eml 200 reverb

hi everyone, i acquired a 200 recently, it had been sitting unused(for quite some time i,d imagine) in Constantine public schools, Michigan (as engraved in the rear power compartment) when i first turned on the unit the output was very low but 15-20 mins later it burst into life, fortunately not blowing my speakers! i found that when i increased the amount of depth on the reverb the overall volume would drop out considerably, i asked on muffs about this and another 200 owner suggested that the polarity at the output may have been accidentally reversed at the factory during manufacture, it was suggested i should try reversing the 2 wires that go to the tray. I did this and now the reverb has dropped out completely, In hindsight i should have just left it alone as i think the reverb was always meant to be this way. my knowledge of electronics is poor but im not afraid to have a poke around if anyone could suggest anything i could try. maybe a resistor or transistor in the reverb circuit??? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks and good to be here, B
