Subject: Re: [emlsynth] EML 101 patching

I'm not in front of my 101 at the moment but off the top of my head you don't need any patch cables to do what you're asking. All you have to do is adjust the knobs in the "filter control" section to get the desired result. You could use ENV 2 modulate the filter and then Osc 4 in LFO mode. If you want seperate envelopes controlling the filter and VCA you could flip the switch above the "Sampler" knob (I forget the name of the switch) so that ENV 1 is controlling the VCA. Make sense?

OK I've had my EML for a few months now & love the wild & unpredictable sounds it can
produce, but I'm still at square one with patching. Apart from the fact that patchbay is barely
mentioned in the manual & is far from self-explanatory, when I try to patch things like EG1
into the filter control I get...nothing!

Has anyone here some useful tips they could share? For example, is it possible to modulate
the filter using both an LFO and an EG at the same time using a patch? Has anyone got a
delayed vibrato patch?

All help gratefully received!
