Subject: EML101 Restoration and Voltage Processor!

Hello,
I've recently finished restoring and upgrading my EML101.
And if you've got one in need of some restoration, tuning, or
modification, please e-mail me.
If you'd like an EML101 overhaul, I could do any or all of the following..
- Replace your filter capacitors and rebuild your power supply.
- Replace the unreliable keyboard connector with a high-quality
locking DIN connector.
- Add an input for the S/H, so that you can use a Noise Source or
other signals. The input jack would exactly match the originals, and
would fit in place of one of the 8 Multiple jacks.
- Replace the keyboard S/H capacitor, which stores the keyboard
voltage. The new capacitor has a very tight tolerance and incredible
temperature coefficient, for improved tuning stability.
- Replace the keyboard bushings.. to make those clunky keys playable
again!
- Add a +15/-15 Volt output, for powering other modular equipment.
This jack would also match the originals and would replace one more of
the 8 Multiple jacks.
- Fine-tune the keyboard voltages, exponential amplifiers and
oscillators, as closely as possible to standard.
- Replace all of the Allen screws with stainless steel Phillips screws.
- Build the EML-designed Voltage Processor in an external case. The
unit allows for Pulse Width Modulation, interfacing with 1V/Oct
synthesizers, inverting of the envelopes, and many other useful
patches. The unit can be powered from the EML101 itself, with the
+15/-15 output mentioned above.
I can also add toggle switches for simple patches. Mine includes
on/off switches for each oscillator, a switch to patch the Sampler's
LFO to the Envelope 2's trigger input, and an envelope bypass switch
(useful for sustained drones, when you don't want to tape a key down).
