Hi everyone, this is my forst post, so chuffed to make it on here
I have a 200 (blue) - really would like the extra input for the
oscillators that the silver ones seemed to have
I have a 300 (blue) - unusual because it has only 12 user push keys
and dials for the pitch/voltages as opposed to 16
also a 400/401 (silver) - unusual because the synth part has a
additional a/r envelope input/output in the bottom left as well as a
volume attentuation thingy. the sequencer is made from 2 panels as
opposed to one big one (blue and black plastic slider caps - is it
possible to get spares of these?) the gutting thing is that the
quantizer section doesn't quite quantize the 13 pitches into one
octave, even at it's lowest setting, it's slightly out - is it a big
deal to callibrate it. I can just about manage it if i spend ages
setting it up in one particular position. also, i can't get any sound
out of it unless i have a lead plugged into the trigger jack, even if
nothing is on the other end - is this normal.
been using the whole setup for a few years now and love it but i have
no idea what Auto Set jack does on the sequencer, at the bottom near
v3/4 - any info appreciated
i love the weirdness and uniqueness of EML
if anyone has an x-y joystick on the shelf museum style then please
sell it to me because i have hunted high and low and want one more
than any other bit of kit, i need to use it!!!
I heard somewhere that the strange little accessory boxes that you
occasionally see were not made by electrocomp at all but someone with
the same name from NY or near - any truth in that?
also that some of the people went on to develop the synare which is
my favourite percussion machine along with pearl syncussion
well you can see i've been looking forward to hanging out here, i'll
try and upload some photos soon, not much of a modern technology head
tho unfortunately. also i hate it when people put up photos and the
damn things aren't patched up, it's embarrassing, tho better than
nothing i guess.
is there a collection of sounds/tracks for these machines somewhere?
there should be
respect is due to all you lot
peace out
