With the exception that the internal calibration has not gone out of wack follow
the procedure below∗ to tune the to 12 notes per octave.
A.
1. Open the volume for Osc 1 & 2, all controllers off, sustain on
2. turn the Keys/Oct Coarse pot all the way to the left (counter clockwise)to
#12
3. Set Osc 2 in KB1 position.
4. Set Osc 3 in KB 2 position
5. Play the top G on the keyboard and tune the two oscillators in unison
6. Play the bottom F, the two oscillators should still be in tune.(if not see
below)∗
7. Now play the bottom F and the first F above (one octave) simultaneously, If
they are not playing exactly 12 notes per octave they will be out of tune.
8. Use the KEYS/OCT FINE pot to adjust the tuning until the beating ceases.
9. To obtain a precise interval jam the lower F with something (cardboard, or
tape it down) to keep the key depressed and simultaneously play the third
octave F, use the KEYS/OCT FINE pot to eliminate any beating.
B.
∗
Oscillators 2 and 3 have identical schematics, internal adjustments are
necessary only if
1. You really cannot get even one oscillator to play an octave
2. Or after following the above procedures only Osc 2 plays an octave and
Osc 3 goes out of tune.
Try to adjust only the Linearity pot of OSC 3, follow the schematics or look at
the board and follow the traces, once found mark the pot position.
a. tune both oscillators in unison as in step 5
b. play one octave down, now carefully adjust the internal trim pot for OSC 3
until both Oscillators are in tune.
c. Play the bottom F, they should now still be in tune
d. Now follow the tuning procedure in section A

schematics? experience? anything? this thing will not play 12 notes/octave so
something needs tweaking. i'll pay for photocopying...
