you can get proper isa prototype pcbs:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PROTOTYPE-PCB-FR4-PTH-7-1-x-4-5-ISA-SLOT-Double-Side-Universal-Board-05-/121924530994?hash=item1c6344b332:g:nXcAAMXQ74JTQDtR

this one is far too expensive, but maybe your local bricks and mortar electronics shop has some left over from the old days.

Moving this project slowly forward I've might have found a way not to solder to my SDS7 before absolutely necessary.  I've ordered one of these 3$ ISA diagnostic card one stick inside an old computer. Plan is to blow my heat gun to it and brush off components, cut a few traces and I believe it could serve as a pcb edge connector for SDS7. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ 271890921827

I'm also ready sorting out pins for a SD card test http://snw.lonningdal.no/ sds7eprom.php#sdcard
