Hi & Welcome,
what about the SDS9 sounds you say ?
If you like Simmons it's a great machine, if you don't you will find it sadly old school !

I consider the toms nearly as fat as the SDSV, & the "second skin" parameter is a great feature.
The eprom snare is good & you can change it (if you can have access to other eproms or burn yours if you get the Simmons EPB or oberheim one...)
I love the Kick that I find very efficient too ...

finally one of the most efficient SImmons kit ...

Hope it helps...
Best Wishes from France.
Patrice.

I have been looking for a Simmons for a while and I just got a
set of red pads and an sds9 off of ebay. In theory, any pads will
trigger any module, correct? I am making a bare minimum kit that is
actually ment to be played standing up. Any body have any opinions on
the sounds of the sds9?
