Hi Everyone,

The poll that I posted on building a Simmons Community website (http://
www.opinionpower.com/Surveys/231016890.html) has been up for over a week now, and
as promised here are the results so far... Overall interest is a bit lower than I had hoped -
13 people participated in the poll. Everyone who did take the poll was interested in a web
based community site devoted to Simmons drums. Below are the percentages for interest
in various features (in order of most to least interest):

classifieds section - 92%
knowledge base/FAQ section - 92%
downloadable sounds/patches/settings - 85%
discussion forum - 78%
product data sheets - 78%
product reviews - 71%
photos area - 64%
online chat functionality - 57%
customizable user profile/member area - 35%

Other user contributed feature suggestions included - manuals, upgrades to current
systems, triggering, heads, tips on module settings, schematics, technique discussions on
approaching simmons pads; hands and feet, amplification, wiring, and custom changes

I did receive some nice of words of encouragement to build the community site, so I am
still mulling over taking on this project. The poll will remain active for a couple more
weeks. Anyone that would still like to voice their opinion or comment is encouraged to do
so. I will provide another update if I receive enough additional feedback. Also, if anyone
has any unique info, content or ideas that they would like to offer up for a new site, I'd be
very interested in hearing from you.

Thanks!
