I've got an SDS800 and SDS7; have no first-hand experience with an
SDSV.

I've read that the SDS8/800 is a budget version of the SDS7, but to
my ears the analogue section of my SDS7 has a very different character
than my SDS800. I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) the SDS7's analogue
voices DCO while the SDS800 are VCO, and the CEM's are probably
different too.

So I'm wondering... What other unit would you compare the SDSV to?
(Ignoring the digital section of the SDS7, just comparing the analogue
section obviously!)
