Subject: Re: [Simmons Drums] MTM battery

Well that sounds like my kind of solution Gordon. There are signs of leakage from the battery but its not serious. I have so far lifted off the cover cap, but I can't seem to see how to get the battery out. It is shrouded in a plastic tube. Any help would be apreciated.
On the backlit display issue I think I have found http://www.maplin.co.uk/supertwist-alphanumeric-lcd-modules-36389
something that seems to fit the bill. Will I need to cut the ribbon cable and re-solder?
thanks in advance.
