Hi Kiko and welcome!

I haven't seen one, but I've seen copies for sale so they aren't unicorns.
Simmons manuals tends to be hard to find. My personal theory (just mine, and
yes, it's OK to hit me!) is that many drummers are a-holes that cannot find
their ass in the dark and therefor cannot keep track of a manual either.
Especially since Simmons stuff aren't "real" instruments in their point of
view. (once again - my theory!).
I buy some gear and the worst and most battered units I've seen around have
always been drum units and not just the pads, the whole brain too... Why?
See above! ;)

Not to be a smart ass... But have you connected midi out to midi in and not
to some other weird point like simmons non-standard selector pad inputs or
similar. I'm not familiar with the SDS-9, so these are just guesses...
And, do you know if the SDS-9 accepts specific channels or just omni mode?
If you run a song or so I can guess that would result in hell breaking
loose...

Oups, can it be some kind of sync input? Any idea of the speed of the
"machine gun"?

Well, for what it's worth - see above...
