Subject: MTM issues

Hi list,

I've finally had time to fiddle around in the studio a bit for the first
time in months. I thought I should use the day to set up my two MTM's to
control SDS-V and SDS-7 from midi.

First observation: One of the MTM's doesn't react when pressing the
panel. Might have happened in transit, might have happened later since I
haven't played around with it before. What's your best bet? A loose
connector inside? I'll get to that later. ∗grrr∗

The other one responds to commands but the manual must be the worst
piece of Simmons litterature I own. I'm getting a bit frustrated here
and would love some help.

This is prior to adding the MTM:
master keys out through Atari -> midi2trig converter -> SDS-7
Each trig out works well with each input of the SDS-7.

After the addition of the MTM:
master keys out through Atari -> converter midi thru -> MTM -> SDS-7
This way I can see the midi converter receiving signals and also hear
channel 2-8 on the SDS-7 since I only hooked up channel 1 to the MTM.

Channel 1 is now silent and I assume that the MTM settings are to blame.
I've tried to trigger it from the entire keyboard and I've managed to
choose the same channel as the converter uses.

My next move is to run a midi cable from the master keys to the MTM
alone and see what happens but any insight and/or tutorial would be
appreciated.
