Subject: Re: [Simmons Drums] SDX Pad Retrofit

As they say in your country: " No deeeffferance' "
Trying to keep it real, I went with a floating type setup. Being a hard-hitter, I wanted to have some give, but not too much ( like a natural head, yet not nearly as much as the meshy tennis rackets ). If you have dry-rotted pads, you will notice a huge improvement in all areas especially dynamics.
I'll get to writing the white paper as soon as I'm done with all of them. PRIORITIES !!!
Thanks for the offer of the symbal material. If you dig them up, I'm sure someone out there would be interested. I wouldn't mind having a few complete symbal pads though.....

How does the FSR respond after all that ?

I would nearly prefer to put some ZI pads surfaces on my other Simmons
pads...
I personally prefer the design...
but that's only my personal tastes.
