Hey Phil ! Good luck on the sale. It costs a fortune to ship those tanks, so hopefully you will find someone locally to buy it at a fair price.
Not sure if there's a HD installed? The obvious way to tell is if it boots without a floppy so long as the o/s is loaded. If the LED was installed properly, you should also see it flashing at the lower left corner of the screen. Otherwise look at the bottom right corner of the first screen after hitting the continue button. If you see scsi0 just above floppy0, there's a HD. You should also be able to tell it's size, etc. from the info menu screen. If for some reason it's not functioning, You can check the bottom of the computer toward the front just in front of the left foot. You will see a square pattern of either 4 screws or 4 holes where the HD is normally mounted. Holes means there's probably no HD inside. If you're a real glutton for punishment, you can also remove the 8 screws just inside the metal frame on the bottom and lift the fiber portion of the console up a little bit to look inside.
