What I like about the SDX is the zone intelligent thing
the sampling option the 16 outputs the user interface
and the feel off the pads
what I don't like is the size an weight
16 monophonic outputs, the ram size
So what the NEW sdx should have is
16 polyphonic outputs, an onboard hardware mixer (like those midicontrollerthings)
for volume panning and effect sends ( perhaps 2 stereo out would be enough
then??), onboard effects true zone intelligent ( the "old" sdx had zone
intelligence but "only" from center
to rim) dampening function/sustaining/aftertouch with the stick
Enough ram ( say 1 Gb), Usb, wav.file importing, sampling, loopsampler with
loops keeping in track ( like ableton)
Is this a bit ambitious?
This is just a quick brainstorm session in my own head
So anybody is invited to jump on the bandwagon
perhaps if enough people join in, we can make it happen
