Pff, if I answer this question very long and exact, I might get laughed at again by some fellas :-(....
There are 3 different PCBs I know so far, that is the 8K fixed board, the vari 8/16/32K board and of course the double digital board (called dual sample).
The first was used for Bassdrum (and snare in early times). The second for everything incl. hihat, prom size was changed by two soldered bridges. Take a look at www.beatboxer.de, under stories & blabla you'll find one of my articles. There is an explanation how you convert an SDS7 tom module into a hihat. This will be translated in english soon, but the pics explain it already. And: how to convert a conventional pedal for SDSV and SDS7 hihat (I know, that is the thing the world was waiting for ;-)
