Well I'm new here and stuff... but my dad has an old Simmons kit in our
garage. He says the brain is broken, and me and my friend who plays
guitar are looking to use it to jam in quiet settings, but obviously I
need a new brain. I have no idea what is wrong with the brain, just
that it doesn't work. Would it be a good idea to try and have the brain
fixed (if that's even possible) and use that or just go out and buy a
new brain in general? I just went out and looked at the stuff there is.
He's got 2 boxes. I don't know what they do or are (I'm totally noob to
electronic drums), but one says SDS9 and other says MTX9. I know he's
also got a percussion expander and an extra 3 pads. The amp he used was
an Alligator 2x12 200w... Someone told me Simmons Electronics are like
vintage and stuff, but.. I don't know. Anyways, I hope to hear a
response.
