Drum synths kicks ass... I recently sold my SDS-8, but the SDS-V is one of
the gems of my studio... On the drum flank I have the SDS-V, 2 x SDS-1, TMI,
Tama TS-305 and TAM-500 and a Pearl Syncussion SY-1... And a heavily
modified TR-606...

Yes! A Cat - just bought one - wicked filter! =) But I can easily see you're
american... Oberheim, Moog, Octave, Big Briar etc. Good to see an old
british unit on the drum side though...

But weren't there rack ears available. i think I've seen that somewhere. One
thing when putting ears on machines like that is that the ins are often on
the "top" after rack mounting. Not very sensible (my TS-305 has that for
example)... I like rack stuff, but the most important thing is to reach
everything otherwise you end up using the same bass drum sound 'cause you're
too lazy to tweak that old drummer... ;)
