I think I made my first soldering mistake due to insufficient board stuffing planning (on my part)...
As I was putting my Neural Agonizer together I installed the Vactrols before the trimpots on board #2 (and cut the leads after installation). Because the vactrols are bigger than their "footprint" print on the board, one of them actually encroaches on one of the trimpot's space. When I installed the trimpot, I had to insert it at an angle in order for me to solder it in place - well, the two components are touching each other - the trimpot and the vactrol. Is that a bad thing?? Do Vactrol's get hot? Will it negatively impact the performance of the trimpot, causing instability? Should I just get a new vactrol (because I can't reuse the existing one (as I cut the leads)?
Input will be appreciated.

Jim
