I tried using Letraset "Safmat" transparent self-adhesive matte printing film but was not very pleased with the results.  Right now I am printing the panel graphics on a color laser printer, gluing it to the aluminum and spraying over it with a clear coat.  For a larger panel, I had a photo shop print out the panel on 11x14 photo paper and it turned out well.  It has a nice subtle texture.  The downside is that part of the white writing turned slightly bluish.

Subject: [ModularSynthPanels] Front panel lettering............

Hi,
Does anybody have any advise or experience of doing their own
lettering to front panels. I'm looking for alternatives to the FPD
type engravings and wondered if I could use art shop lettracets or
decals like with plastic model aircraft kits for eg.
Thanks
Kerry
