I got an assembled Bananalogue Serge VCS in Frac format 2 days ago [1]. It
is built like a TANK; the faceplate is beefy, and the 4 PCBs (one small,
three tiny) are arranged so they structurally support each other. There
are ∗no∗ wires anywhere on the board except for the power lead. Nice bit
of engineering, that. But just taking it out of the packaging, it has a
certain heft.

I've used it as an LFO, as an env, as a VCO, and, without knowing quite
why or how, as a waveform mangler. It is capable of dozens of other uses
I have not yet discovered, but that's the whole point, I think. It's
impressive as all hell, and I intend to get another one.

Hell yes.

[1] A more correct statement is "I got the entirety of my small Frac
system two days ago". Binary Zone, Blacet VCO, Miniwave, VCS, Final
Filtre, Time Machine, with Mobius and modded SH-101 pitching in.
