Subject: panel options

Hi gang, I'm weighing my options on getting panels made for my own
DIY designs and am looking for suggestions from the group. I
currently have these designs that need panels:

Sword of Kahless (ribbon controller) 3U
Dunsel (utility) 1U
Lag Processor 1U
Minimax 1U
Switching Comparator 1U
Trigger Extractor 1U
Gate Delay 1U

I had hoped that Stooge panels would return one day, but that's
looking less likely. I'm aware of Schaeffer and Front Panel Designer
(although I've never used them), but have never bought into it
because the panels aren't the same as the official MOTM: different
paint texture and engraved as opposed to silk screened. Also, I've
heard it can get quite expensive once you start adding all the tick
marks.

I was looking at this site:

http://www.guitarfool.com/Silkscreen.html

and was thinking "that doesn't look too difficult". I can buy blanks
from Paul S. in 1U and 2U widths, which I assume will be the same
paint job as all other MOTM panels. It's only those pesky 3U wide
panels that still have me stumped.

Am I crazy to consider going this route to silk screen my own panels?
And where can I get 3U wide panels that have the same paint as
official MOTM? Or should I just give in and go the Shaeffer route?
Are there some other options I should look into?
