Speaking of the Hylander expansion for the Miniwave, and Juskiw CV
board... I modified my existing Miniwaves (in Schaeffer panels) to add
the Hylander expansion board. Since I was modifying an existing panel,
I replaced the A/B PROM switch with a 10 position thumbwheel. So my
PROM selection is still manual. Now I have a question for those of you
with the Juskiw CV board. How are you using it? Since the PROMS are so
different, I find it hard to imagine switching by CV, except for purely
random weirdness. Of course maybe that's a good enough reason!
How come I made a Schaeffer panel instead of using a Stooge?
a) I wanted a different layout (see my Miniwave panel in the files
area), where the LEDs are more widely spaced in 0.250 inch holes, so I
could experiment. I finally installed some nice Lumex panel mount LEDs
in shiny chrome bezels. These were the third set of LEDs I tried. The
LEDs on my panel align next to the pot that controls them.
b) I wanted to add a multiple.
c) I wanted them in a hurry! (But the main reasons were A and B. I'm
waiting on 10 Stooge panels right now. Worth the wait.).
