Adaptor Panels
Since it is so much cheaper and so many people prefer to use little diddly 1/8 connectors and smt (not really DIY boards.)
It occurs to me that since the prosumer/ semipro market holds sway financially (and you can't blame them for that) I think we full size MOTM original, Moog, Synth.com form factor types need to adapt.
I did it with my Miniwave. Lets come up with a system of adaptor panels.
Doepfer and all of the shit is cheaper and useful but like on an ARP the 1/8" plug/jack combo is a weak system that is more suited to a plug and forget setup, also if you are nearsighted like most folk, you are hosed. So I paralell wired the jacks to bigger jacks in the order of my choice. With most of these euro modules we are not talking primary modules for the most part anyway. You don't see anybody clamoring for a Dopefer or Analog Pittsburgh or whatever VCO,VCA, EG.
I understand that there hase to be a profit margin then things. I also understand that as you go from tubes to transistors to chips and on you get a lessening of quality of unaugmented sound generation. Great for consumers, shit for pros (aka enlightened amateurs).
Until I find a cheap Ghielmetti matrix, this is my solution for these smaller modules. Making them one at a time is a pain in tha ass.
