You could build a DB 800 on a MUUB 4 board, if you used my comparator
circuit (see link on my page) instead of Scott's. His DB 800 uses three
ICs, but there are only two on the MUUB 4. You would have to omit the
gate LED. Also, since the MUUB 4 is larger than the MOTM-800 board, you
might have some tricky fitting to do.

Nobody mentioned the clipper part of the DB 800. Actually I was the one
who came up with it. (I took the circuit from Electronotes.) The
MOTM-800 has a behavior that I thought was a design flaw: when
triggered rapidly the output voltage can rise above 5V. I first
discovered this by ear when the the result was an alarming increase in
the output of the VCA being controlled. The clipper limits the output
to +5V max. It has no impact on lower voltages. (Note that the clipper
works on the internal envelope, which is 0-10V).
