I was going to add that Jp's processes dovetail nicely into the prepunched and the oops panels from BC If you are just doing standard work
I have been seeing overlays of all types on high end gear and on short lived products like the mighty Alesis Mod FX boxes.It is cheap and viable.
When I was working on EMS panel redo I got a very reasonable start up quote on a pair of metallic stick on overlays punched and affixed by the fab house, that is with user supplied punched panels.

I was thinking of doing that for my ASM2 and perhaps the same for the Doepfer DIY Even though their heated VCO is lamer than shit.
