Well, perhaps I shouldn't have used the word "precise", but rather "rough" instead.
I had an exported-from- FPD file here (can't recall which format), and I noticed that for instance a circle actually gets drawn as a bunch of small straight lines in a circular pattern, instead of 1 smooth line (as I expect from a vectorial output). Almost looked like bad bitmap art... badly enough to turn me away from FPD.
Though I have to admit I don't know how this gets translated to the actual CNC machines. Maybe it converts it back to vectors ?

Me neither (well, ehm, the opposite).
It seems to get the job done for most synth DIYers, in a satisfying way, so we're all cool.

Very nicely done panel. Is that a 2mm alu slab ? (I use 1mm SS, which doesn't even flex)
The corner rounding is just sweet.
