I bought some 1N60's for my ASM2. 
I don't know if they'll work or not since I haven't put them in yet. 
I made the choice base on this New Zealand surplus electronics web-site:

Mouser has them (NTE) at $1.37 each.  (Ouch, but NTE is pricey)

You can probably get them cheaper if you look around.

OA 91 germanium diode. MY ASM2 calls for one. (the pbc is amazing quality, veber seen
better)

What can I get in the US for a sub ?
