Hi there -
Please note that the 2U JH String Filter panel design on our site
presupposes using a dual gang reverse audio taper 100K pot for the
Stereo Spread control (available from Small Bear). This makes it
possible for the panel to be labeled "Mono" on the left and "Stereo"
on the right - which we liked best.
We resisted the temptation to build this with 40 separate controls, as
we're already building a behemoth 22 band version of the YU Fixed
Filter <LOL>. It wasn't lost on us, though that JH thoughtfully
provided for separate outputs for the 40 bands.
In May, we did ask Jurgen about all the 10K trimpots with an eye
toward controlling the depth of the notches individually - like in a
40 band filter.
---------------------
"Hi Jurgen -
"So all those 10K trimpots are how you adjust the - well -
depth of the notches? I mean - like they would be the panel
knobs on a regular fixed filter bank?
"Bill and Will"
---------------------
And he responded:
---------------------
"No - adjusting the individual peak frequencies.
Depth of the notches is globally set for all filters
(and voltage controlled, too!) with the Resonance Potentiometer.
"JH."
--------------------
So I guess to control the depth of each notch, you'd have to set up
seperate "Resonance" controls?
