this sooner rather than the planned later. Let me mull that over this
weekend. I want knobs too so I would go that direction. I was thinking
more oval width ways for the shape of the circle (ala Buchla) with
controls in the middle and around the corners. My one concern is the
difference in the LEDs and switches and how they fall inline with the
oval. Having experience with my rotary I don't mind, nor have I ever
had trouble with, the switches being to the side and in a different
shape than knobs. Thoughts?
Considering it's a whole new instrument almost, a new layout is just
part of the fun. The one consideration I've heard is that the load
switch is used a LOT, so having it centrally located and/or readily
accessible is a good idea, and having the switches removed enough away
from the pots so there's no accidental knob tweaks during switch
changing is a really good idea also.

jacks, sliders etc to be on the panel. Sean, is your panel "stock" in
this way? If so I could use it to base a new design off of. Here are
some questions for the group:
Yes, (assuming you meant me) my design is "stock" - no add-ons or
mods. The docs are freely available at electro-music- com, and the
interconect doc is the relevant one you want to make sure you get all
the right connections. The only real variable is the range
knob/switch/ jack arrangement - there are 4 options, mine is option 4,
which is the most flexible I think.

Yes, of course!

MOTM-type switches and jacks. Sound good?
Yes!

whole (19") rack width due to the overall "awesomeness" of this
sequencer.
Well, honestly the smaller the better. As I mentioned, I couldn't find
a way to mod your original design into a klee - too much extra stuff,
so you'd probably have to spread it out to 8u. But you have crazy mad
designer skillz that are beyond me, so whatever works!
